Based in Calgary, Canada, Arts Management Systems has used Omnis products for over three decades to develop its Theatre Manager solution, which provides Arts, Entertainment and Sports venues with integrated patron & household CRM, box office management, membership management, as well as internet ticket sales and various back office functions. Starting in 2016, the company joined forces with Proctors theatre in Schenectady, New York, to host its first official Theatre Manager user conference, and the event proved so successful and popular with clients, that the partners have decided to host the conference again for a second year. The conference will be held over four days, May 8 to 11, 2017 at Proctors theatre.
The conference is designed for employees and volunteers engaged in box office, marketing, patron development, database and server management, accounting, web sales, ticket scanning and other topics. Arts Management Systems passionately believes that the best user conference is one that is owned and organized by the users themselves, and this ethos has guided them in the setup and presentation of their user conferences. Sessions are generally hosted by users of the Theatre Manager solution, while Artsman staff host sessions of their own.
